Kerry Edwards studies Textiles & Fashion at The Royal College of Art. After graduating she worked in New York as a designer in the fashion industry. During her career she travelled widely through America, South America and Asia.
After ten years she returned to the UK and worked as a freelance consultant in London before moving to the south coast with her husband and young family. Here, she set up a designer children's wear business and bespoke photo book business. Currently, she works as a Learning Support Assistant at The Prebendal School in Chichester and has recently graduated with an MA in Creative Writing from West Dean College via the University of West Sussex.
The inspiration for her writing comes from two main sources; firstly the many women she has met on her travels and secondly from working with children and young people. She has run art clubs and art holiday camps over many years and, whilst living in New York, she volunteered to work with children in homeless shelters and with Hispanic children from disadvantaged homes and found encouraging them to find freedom in their creativity very inspiring and fulfilling.
Her debut novel is La Santa Muerte.
